Another semi-domesticated resident of Key West, many live in the immediate vicinity of the Ernest Hemingway House. As the story goes, Hemingway was given a 6-toed cat as a gift sometime between 1928-1940 when he lived and wrote here and many kittens later, they roam the streets freely.
